Card : Doomtrain

Has any1 had success in obtaining this card?

Sure! I already indicated in the other thread (before I realized you had started this new one) but I’m pretty sure it’s part of the Card Queen sidequest. Are you familiar with it?

Of course i know about the queen of cards side quest 😛 – I’m quite sure i have done everything correctly but still no luck. I’ve followed many guild out there on the net such as those on gamefaqs and still, no success.

If you have gained the card and remember how you did , who u spoke to for a game location etc please post.

Okay, according to the guide I’m looking at, the barkeeper at the pub in Timber plays the Doomtrain card. You’ll need to have lost the Alexander card to the Queen of Cards. Have you done that?

yes i was going to actually going to say i know i have to loose the Alexander card, but it never, ever appears

What do you mean it never ever appears? You have to have obtained from Piet, that astronaut dude first, or it’s never going to show up. If you didn’t get it while up in space, he’s waiting for you in his escape capsule.

Hrm. Is this on the PC version of the game?

I’m sure this is just by chance. Sometimes it can take ages for it to appear. I’ve had the same problem in the past.

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking myself. Which is why I wanted to know if this was on the PC version — I wanted to see if I could get the card for him. But that’s really what I’d recommend too — patience and lots of it.

Yes it iis on the PC game though however i first tired to get the card on the PS1 version of the game, an i believe it’s the only thing which i have failed to actually do on FF8.

If you want, post your savefile. It’s probably just a matter of lack-of-patience like we said, but you never know. I wouldn’t mind trying to at it for a bit.
