Silver Playstation 3?

This may be a question that no one here has the answer to, but I figured it was worth a shot.

Does anyone know if the PS3 will be available in silver in March? I like the way it looks in silver a lot more, especially the controllers. Here’s the picture.

I just know that there are white PS3’s on Ebay, and that a red PS3 is on the way as well, not sure about when they will be out though, of course you never can tell anyway even if they do say a date…

Why anyone would get any PS3 at the moment is beyond me…

That’s a shitload of money to spend on mere potential. In fact, considering that they’re still being produced and will only get cheaper, you’d be a fool to buy one now based on future potential that may or may not ever be realized.

Agreed. I’m not one of those people who are generally against Sony, but on the other hand there is no way I would buy a PS3 at the price being charged at the moment. I think it’s a rip off. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t ever get one, but it’s certainly not going to be in the near future.

I held off on the PS2 and PSX as well. The reason being mainly the line-up of games and the price. I forgot what I got my PSX for but I know I got my PS2 for $250 USD for a package deal at EBGames that came with an extra controller, memory card, and any 2 games priced at $30 or lower. I got Onimusha and Gran Tursimo 3.

At the moment, I’m satisfied with the performance of the 360 as well as their present and upcoming line-up of games.

Still Silver Ps3’s show less fingerprints and marks than black ps3’s…

well, the PS3 was designed to be in the centre of your living room. It’s all for show! But it will look pretty crap after all the fingerprints covering it when people turn it off, on, put in CD’s etc… and other stuff. I don’t know! It’s not like I own a ps3…

Considering it will take a really large TV to take advantage of the PS3, I’m pretty sure the last thing people will give a shit about is smudges on the console when it’s sitting next to a 50 inch HDTV.

I am pretty anal about smudges/scratches/fingerprints on things like my PSP.
When it comes to consoles I really do not care as long as it is in working condition and that no one eats it.
I personally would stick with the black.

Having it in another color should jack up the price to $5000 from the ebay scammers…. I don’t find it worth getting right now as much as a lot of other people think as well (Sometimes history repeats itself- see 3DO..) but with every new thing that comes out, the best approach is to wait and see….

I prefer the black, and if it gets finger prints on it shit, i’ll just clean em off.
