Does anyone know how to rip the soundtrack?

This was a pretty cool game (yet a little lame at times) and I can only remember one track really standing out above the rest, one that really gets you pumped… I think it was when you’re fighting that huge monster-thing in a laboratory-like arena.

Anyhow.. I’ll reply back here once/if I find anything.

I found something.

It’s a list of usf files, though it might not have all the songs. If anyone knows how to convert usf files to mp3s, you can upload it to the site.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. I’ll figure out something.

Thanks a bunch.

The readme file is of little use and these files are way too small to be used as anything. Do you have the site that linked you to mega upload? If I could contact the guy who did this, I might be able to find something out.

As for USF conversion, this place (http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=USF) explains the specifics of it, but I’m afraid that the ripped file is incomplete or something. Each file is about 50 bytes, which is way to small for anything audio-based.

The files work fine for me, though about a third of the time I can’t seem to get them to play. I uploaded it to megaupload myself, but I found the original files here.

How are you getting the files to play? I’ve had little time to research it.

EDIT: Never mind, I got it playing… ^_^;;
I’ll mess around with these tomorrow if I can spare the time. This will be on my priority list, though. My apartment-mate is pretty tech savvy, so we’ll figure out something.

What’s this about the files not playing after a certain number of times?

Sometimes they don’t work for some reason, most of the time they’re okay though.

I’ve experienced similar problems with some tracks. I might have a way of remedying it when I look at it some more.

On a side note, do you know the name of the song file where Johnny is facing the giant alien hybrid-thing and you have to run around in this laboratory-like arena while the mad scientist is watching (and probably laughing at) you? Either that file is one of the ones not playing for me or I don’t know what it sounds like anymore (it’s been about 7 years since I’ve beat it).

I can’t remember that one, it was something really dramatic, but that’s all I can remember. It might not even be included among the files, one thing I really hate about usf files is that when you fast foward it moves at the same pace as when it’s playing, except there’s no sound, so you have to sit and listen to every second, even though some songs are only about 10 seconds long, if not less, and it doesn’t list the actual length of the song.
