Uematsu said in an interview it would be out in 2006 but that doesn’t look likely now. Apparently, it will be a 2 disc with FF arrangements on one disc and traditional Japanese music on the other.

Okay, there is SO much rearrangement on the first OSTs, it’s like listening to a new piece of music altogether. TBM made "maybe I’m a lion," a track I’d always hated, become my favourite. The vocal theme of "the skies above" was devastatingly powerful. Granted, the otherworld theme was kind of weak, it’s no reason to call it generic. That’s just wrong. What is generic is releasing game osts that are ripped music right from the games with no alterations.
