I have a Question about a character..

Hey, I’m new here, This may be a dumb question, but Whats the deal with Genesis? Id like to know whatever i can about him. THanks!

No, I mean Genesis, or maybe youd better recognize the name G. He’s in Crisis Core. He was a powerfull SOLDIER but thats all i know about him, i was hoping to know more.

Haven’t played Crisis Core but in Dirge of Cerberus that charactar makes a reappearance. Feel free to stipulate on this explanation:

Genesis is one part of the three part destruction/creation process outlined by Final Fantasy VII’s story. All three parts are – Genesis(Nero/the beginning), who combines with Omega (Weiss/the end), and destroys the immediate world to make way for a new one after Chaos (Vincent) starts the process by creating the state of ‘chaos’ that leads to destruction. But in at the end of DoC Omega (Weapon?) seemed to be doing fine in ending the world without Vincent’s help..?

According to G-Reports, he was a prototype to Sephiroth. So we can only assume he was a creation that somehow just happened before the Jenova project. Hence a good reason for another sequal…

The secret ending contained a caracter, heavily filled Mako eyes and one wing. Sephiroth had only one wing as well. Just observations, anything else i say will be guesswork. 😛

Maybe Sephiroth and Genesis are brothers. I cant remember anything else from the G-Reports, once I get my game back from a mate I’ll have another look and see if it says anything else.

Genesis was a character in Dirge of Cerberus and is going to appear in Crisis Core along with Sephiroth and Angeal. I’m not sure if he is directly related to either of the two, but what I do know is that his origins have something to do with the research performed by Lucrecia.

Genesis’ character model was based on Gackt, a Japanese singer. I’ve yet to find out who actually voiced Gackt in DoC, but I hope they dropped whoever did. In my opinion, Genesis’ voice sounds similar to that of Antonio Banderas’.

That’s all I know, hope that helps. Feel free to expand on what I wrote if anybody knows anything else.

what we know so far;

Genesis has a black wing on his left side.
He is a product of the time when Shinra thought Jenova was a Cetra. (Hojo says this in a new trailer, a third one which hasnt been shown to the public yet)
He is a childhood friend of Sephiroth’s and Angeal’s, but it looks like the three will have loads of conflicts, resolutions and so forth.
He seems to be degenerating, for some reason.
He believes Jenova cells can stop this (from that new trailer)
He is working alongside a scientist called Hollander, who has some sort of cloning technology apparently used in before crisis, which he stole and is using to make an army of genesis clones
he loves the play ‘loveless’ which cid was talking about on the airship in FF7
he will be sealed, to reawaken and carry weiss’ body off at the end of DoC (secret ending reveals this)
he is modelled on some jap pop star called gackt.

thats about it. to be honest, i like the looks of this character. he seems interesting. although apparently midgar is swarmed with G clones at one point, when SOLDIER and the turks must fight against them. how this completely passes out of common knowledge so no one mentions it at all in FF7… i hope this is addressed.

If there is a swarm of G clones attacking Midgar, perhaps this is why we only see the few Turks that we do in FF7; the rest are killed off in the fight with the G clones.

Oh, I meant in the regular FF7. I just speculated that if there a bunch of G clones attacking Midgar, that perhaps a lot of the Turks were killed in this fight; leaving only Reno, Rude, Tsueng, and Elena in Final Fantasy VII.

tseng, reno, rude and one of the turks from before crisis, named shisune in this, are confirmed as appearing in crisis core. i think there will be more though, too. and you could be right

no, because it wasnt made public. i havent even seen it, ive just read the script. the second crisis core trailer was leaked around christmas time and SE were furious about this, so they didnt release this one.
