Gears Of War Score UPDATE!!!!!!!

Just got this email from Kevin Riepl himself.

Hey everyone!

First off, thank you all for kind words and compliments on the Gears of War score. I very much appreciate that you took the time to send your thoughts. I am really glad you enjoyed the score.

Ok, the update on the soundtrack, is that it’s coming…..soon 🙂 Epic is saying it should be released sometime early in the new year.
I just got done selecting & finalizing all the tracks for them and sent them off. This "Update Email" might be a one time thing as I am not sure how much time I will have in the upcoming weeks to send another one out. I just wanted to let everyone know that it IS in the works and we are doing our best to move it along, to get it out there.

Thank you again, and check the website at times in the weeks ahead to see if I have posted any news about the soundtrack cd.

I really hope ‘soundtrack cd coming soon’ means very, very soon, for Kevin Riepl’s site does not seem to bring in new stuff lately. And hopefully we won’t be getting some cheap ITunes alternative. But then, I don’t think that is likely to happen as [I think] Microsoft cares about releasing quality products when it comes to their games.

Microsoft wouldn’t know quality if it came up and bit them on the ass… However, this would be a welcome addition to my music library. Gears of War… *drools*

well in the meantime im doing a rerip of the score and im gonna seperate them into diffrent acts that follow the single player campaign.

The last rip i did i had the rec volume too high and that caused them to distorit the MP3;’s.

Well, it’s true Microsoft provides us with huge loads of crap as far as operating systems are concerned, but I think they’ve been doing a great job with both the Xbox and Xbox 360!

Microsoft doesn’t know quality, yet they created the Gears of War exclusivity deal with Epic?

It was a generalization. Most of Microsoft’s products aren’t worth the money you’re having to dish out for them. I would also say that most of the other technology we’re getting nowadays could be brought down in price. That being said, from what I’ve seen, the 360 isn’t doing that bad (some of what Microsoft’s doing with the machine is actually pretty good). I just have too many nightmares from the BSOD.
