Character swap!!

Out of every character in the series,which character do you think would even fit in any other story. (E.g like would Fran fit in final fantasy X) Just looks wise but not for in story I think she would. I also think Tifa would fit better in VIII.

Seems like Tidus would fit in XII because I sometimes call Vaan Tidus.

I can tell you who won’t fit into other series.

Any FFX character, because their clothings are just too bright and colourful.
Any FFIX character, they have weird body proportions.

You won’t fit here, but I think you can fit in another forum.

Balthier in my opinion fits in design-wise many other FF games, but that’s just based on looks. It’s rather hard to think outside the box and picture any characters in XII in the context of another game. But when I saw him he immediately reminded me of the PS1 FF games, and I thought that he was a very tried and true looking character that would fit many games of the series. His sly/smart attitude would certainly not be out of place with other characters…

This is a tough one.

I could almost see Zell from FFVIII fitting in FFX as a Wakka-type character. Also Auron from FFX puts me in mind of Vincent from FFVII (looks only) – that might work. Now that I think about it, Kimahri might fit in FFVII as well – they did have Red XIII after all. Guess this wasn’t as tough as I thought.

All those considerations in mind, I still wouldn’t change anything about VII.

I’d say Laguna and Seipher from FFVIII. And Tidus from FFX, all in the FFXII world.

Zell’s matured and gotten a touch of class and better temperment, turned into Balthier, and Laguna’s gotten in touch with his repressed and much needed ‘dark and wicked’ side as Vayne.

Looks good in Armor, though.

And Tidus? Why, Vaan, of course!

Mmm — considering that the last post in this thread was well over a month ago, I suppose you could have maybe just… let it go?

I would think that someday we would see a lot of these characters in one game. After all, even though you don’t see them as the same form, the summons names are in mostly ever version of a Final Fantasy. Some way it has to be tied somehow.

Anyone notice how short XII was?

I didn’t go straight through the game… my first time through I was lvl 60 Vaan and 55 rest of party and my time was 120+hours… and I still didn’t get everything. I didn’t think the game was short at all… my opinion though

What about say… Squall in FFX I think if he were say "Tidus" that would be awesome… he has to keep the same attitude as FFVIII
