Tichri’s FF9 Fanart

Hope this isn’t too inappropriate. I can’t really see why it would be, seeing as how all of this fanart is FF9 stuff, but if I’m supposed to keep it all restricted to the art forum, someone let me know.

Got a growing collection of FF9 fanart that I’ve been doing over the past few weeks and I thought you guys might want to see, given the general lack of FF9 fanart out there.

First up, it’s Zidane!

Beg pardon for the generic-ness of this piece. It was my practice sketch (I do them so I can get familiar with a character’s original design before I really work with my own style). You can see the precursors of what I would later do with Zidane in this first pic (the pen doodles off to his left and right).

This one may be a teeny bit NSFW since everyone in it is naked. BUT, it’s censored nudity, so…hopefully you won’t get in too much trouble for looking. 😛 I went with Zidane and Garnet because part of the goal of the Naked Thursday project is fanart (the other part is tasteful, humorous nudity that has nothing to do with sex).

Don’t worry, they’re all dressed this time. 😛 This was the original idea for the above picture, but I decided to do something a little different instead. The sketch was there, though, and I wanted to practice, so I inked it and gave everyone clothes.

I feel bad for breaking his foot like that. 😛 And I suppose I should warn you now that you’ll be seeing a lot of Zidane fanart from me. >D

*gasp!* It’s not Zidane! Garnet is harder to draw than most people realize. Seriously. She’s got a very peculiar face; her chin is long and all her facial features are bunched up in the middle, but she still looks very cute. I have fun trying to maintain that cuteness.

I don’t care what anyone says, I’m proud of this one. It actually looks like her, for a change! Plus, giant rat woman. That’s always awesome in my book.
