Remake?

I highly doubt this, but one of my friends was speaking of a remake of IX in the process.

Has anyone else heard of this? I would think it would be awesome to have it remade with new graphics. What I’m finding hard to beleive *even tho I’ve never played VII and don’t know about it* is that they would choose IX over VII to remake. It seems that the overal popularity of VII is higher than that of IX’s.

There are rumors (RUMORS only) of FF7 and FF8 being ported out to the PSP. Although FF9 wasn’t mentioned in the list, there might be a possibility that’s coming out to the PSP, too.

But again, those are just rumors.

And as far as a "remake…?" Check your friend’s sources, ‘cuz all signs point to "you’re being bulshitted." 😛

ff7 was anounced that it would be available for download on the psp. Im pretty sure of it. But of course no remake

I think it is on the list but then again I don’t know because of all the rumors.

Well, yeah. I think a lot of people have heard rumors at some point. The thing is, an easy check on reputable game news sites or even Squeex’s pages would pretty much confirm or squelch any of them. 😛

No a remake would spoil the classic final fantasy masterpiece it would be all juiced up like all remakes are

Hey, if "remake" means that I can take FF9 (or any of my favorite games) with me and play it on my PSP or DS during hour-long train rides to and from work, I’m all for it.

If they mean making it for the PSP, that’s fine.
But thet shouldn’t remake it for ,say, PS3.
There’s no need. It’s fine the way it is.

If they wanted it for the psp, they would use the emulation. Its the easiest way. I would like to see IX only on DS. But this wont happen 🙁

I don’t think that the graphics are bad at all. Why bother remaking it? It seems like a pretty stupid idea to me. Games like FF5 OR 6 Deserve to be remade if you’re worried about graphics.

it is true that the PSP will have a psone emulator attachment or sumthing like it, so don’t be suprised if your can play final fantasy 7-9 on yur PSP in a couple of months…

I think a IX remake would be great if they did it all in Amano style.

I doubt they’ll make a remake at all for the PSP,but hey,anything is possible. So surprise me Square,just surprise me.

Man, if they remade ff9 for PSP, Id be sure to go buy a PSP ASAP. that would be so kickass.

NO. Never. I would die if they did remake this game. They couldn’t possibly top this game as it is now.

S-E’s PC launches tend to suck hard. Second S-E only remakes games when they upgrade the type of media it is on like transferring cartridges into CDS, or turning nintendo titles into PS titles. SO unless they plan on putting FF7-9 on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray all signs point to no. Plus I’m pretty sure the PSPs are going to play the Roms/ISOs soon enough.
