I cannot get my emulator to work. I download EPSXE and the Delta config tool and the plugins. Can anybody give me some detailed but easy to understand instructions on how to run these damn things? They are driving me up the wall!
It would also be helpful if anybody could define what the following terms mean in the context of emulation: Bios, Graphics plugins, sound plugins. Or if somebody knows of a playstation emulator that doesn’t require me to do all of that shit. An emulator that would install itself and have all of the plugins configured already would be very nice. >:O

lol. fking coma. that was a good one. lol

but…yah. that’s how i learned. i don’t know why they never just package everything all at once. i find it really stupid that you gott get the bios yourself from somewhere else. but..whatever. just make sure that once you get it, you back it up and never lose it so you don’t have to suffer with it again.

also. just follow the wizard step by step. i always run the wizard a bunch of times just to make sure or make tiny changes depending on the game. get used to it. it’s not a one time only thing.

Remember bleem? That had a reverse-engineered bios as part of the package. Sony sued them into oblivion (and then bought the company, who now designs the emulators so the PSP can run PS1 games. lol).

The BIOS is a chip that contains the PlayStation’s operating system, which is wholly owned by Sony. It’s illegal to host the BIOS file, because Sony will track down whatever site and sue them for copyright infringement.

So it’s not going to be easy to find it just floating around on the internet; I suggest using bittorrent. There are usually packages on bittorrent that include the emulator, all the plugins, and the bios. If you’re willing to download a few hundred gig, there are even PlayStation ‘complete’ packs out there that include images of every single game.

I was gonna help you, but then I remembered that you’re a pretentious and sophist prick, so I decided not to bother. But then I remembered that I’m better than that, so…

Just keep in mind that I’m just doing this because I have a rep to keep. You just got lucky. 😉

Admirable. You do unto your enemy as you would have done unto you. I admire that. Well, I will try not to be a pretentious prick.

So hi, I’m a newbie and I swear I wouldn’t be pestering you guys if I wasn’t beating my head on the wall here. I downloaded the PSX emulator. What I cannot find is the configure option(only has file, preferences, help, and reset) or where I’m supposed to put the Bios I have. PLease help me out here before I delete everything and forget about. I considered myself pretty computer savy before I got mixed up in this. I’ve got three other emulators that work fine. THanks for any help in advance.

there’s a help file…and the placement of the plugins and bios may vary from emulator to emulator

for ePSXe, you put the bios in the folder that should be named "Bios"
the same goes for all the plugins, be they audio, video, cdrom, etc.
