Guy outside the gate to the Eastersand

I ran into a Bangaa outside the gate to the first area where you do the Rouge Tomato hunt. He was asking me if I had something for him. Does anyone know if this is some kind of side quest.

if you mean way in the begining where they tell you you can’t get back in once you go out or whatever about closing the gates soon…its nothing.

his friend is inside and you can talk to him and get something to give to his friend outside. but you don’t get any reward for it. matter of fact, i think the guy even mentions something about "what, you were expecting something for helping" or whatever. lol not in those words but i kinda got the feeling. :p
