Do any of your characters specialize in casting? Mystic armor is better than heavy for casters, because it gives the more magic power. Also, there’s one point later on where heavy armor is a liability. In my own party, I have one character in light armor, two in mystic, and the rest in heavy.
Your mileage may vary, of course.
like morelyn said, the type of armor you use for a certain character will benefit them the most. i use two with heavy armor, 2 with light, 1 with mystic and the last has heavy/mystic. it really depends on what you want to make your characters
psh! i was only at level 17 when i got there… it seems like i am barely getting by in this game level wise, i just barely beat elder wyrm and my chars were no higher than lvl 22! but the stillshrine of miriam is really whoopin my ass…

does anybody think im just squeezing by level wise in this game, becuz im at the stillshrine, am my charact. are no higher than lvl. 22…. i seem to do this with all final fantasy games…
