fmv intro?

i know i might spoil myself here but in the introductory FMV sequence of the game i noticed a news report on Vincent’s phone that was talking about how the ShinRa was terrorizing the people of Kalm.

what i wanna know is how did the ShinRa stay alive even though their Headquaters was destroyed by Diamond Weapon in Final Fantasy VII PC?

this theory sorta stuck in my head fer some reason

Yes it’s true the power of Shinra was destroyed in FF Vii at the end of the Jenova War, but the new young president wasn’t killed in the attack from weapon. After the Jenova War he had some loyal turks and they were trying to redo the damage that the empire had done to the planet and rebuild Shinra, so really Shinra wasn’t destroyed 100% they just didn’t have any power, but the buildings of Shinra HQ’s were damanged or destroyed. Of course the deepground of Shinra’s secrets were not destroyed but when they were set "free" to do as they wish the Deepground army was no longer conected to Shinra. Sorry avioding the main question you’re asking, the reports would have said Shinra because reporters/people found the secret lair of deepground and they started to look inside, this is where you get the reports on the tv that the team that went in there was missing and so the reporters thought that this was Shinra’s doing when in fact it was Deepground acting on there own free will attacking villages on the planet. How-ever spoiler they wern’t acting on their own free will because Hojo was secretly ordering them to do these actions. ~Db.

who was the guy at the top of the builden on the intro (theone i saw on youtube may be a diferantone) wehre vincent was gonna shoot him then thunder hit hte place
