Please say it is so..

I just bought a new 50′ HDTV + a PS2 component cable and would love to play this game in Enhanced Definition (480P).

A fifty foot television?

That must have been a bitch to get into the lounge room.

Also: no 480p support for FF12.

damn! Why Square…WHYYYY! You have made dozens of games for the PS2…This is your tour de force, maximizing the system’s power. Why not let us enjoy it in crisp 480P?

grrrr

Fact: Developing a game that supports 480p means the games graphics need to be tweaked to be scalable. This requires more video memory, and more development time.

Fact: Something like 1% of PS2 owners have component cables and can actually take advantage of HDTVs.

Square Enix is probably more concerned about getting Final Fantasy XIII looking perfect in 1080p on the PS3.
