wen i try to steal the DB from the rare monster called Ithuno all it keeps on sayin is "couldnt steal from Ithuno" any tips?

put on thief cuffs…and cast haste on your fastest char…then try to steal…you may get lucky

where can i get the cuffs

in the bazaar i think…they should be available…where are you at in the story?

rite after raithwalls tomb. im about to go into to the Giza Plains(Rain) but i wanted to get the DB so im in the Barheim Passage rite now.

you might have to wait a while for the thief cuffs…i think they show up in the bazaar after you gain a couple of clan ranks…but dont quote me on that…try casting hast on your fastest char…then stealing maybe that will work as an alternative?

buy the thief cuffs at mosphorian?? theres a shop there next to a teleport crystal that sells them. you can just walk there early in the game. I got my deathbringer at only level 20 right after raithwall’s but it kind of made the game way too easy. i was able to finish all my hunts right when they came up lol

it takes a long time for ithuno to actually appear but its not too bad because on the way from the barheim’s teleport crystal to where ithuno is there are 3-4 chests with anywhere from 1000-4000 gill in each. so its not a complete waste of time. you end up collecting ALOT of gil in the process. afterwards you can max out on all the gear available.

wheres the shop and teleport crystal that you are talking about. I can get Ithuno to spawn but its the stealing part thats not werking for me. Everytime he spwns and i try to steal from him all it says is "couldnt steal from Ithuno" Ithuno has only spwnd about 6 times for me and each time i keep gettin the same message over and over. how many tries did it take u?

haha i guess i was just lucky to stumble on it. theres 2 ways to get there but the easy way is to go to nalbina town through the estersand. when you get there, there will be two guards guarding the entrance to mosphorian. talk to them, and then go rent a chocobo. if you try to go through the passage with the chocobo the guards go away. then just keep riding the chocobo up until you reach the teleport crystal + shop. i bought two thief cuffs but it took a shitload of time.. ithuno only appeared to me 2 times in 3 hours. the first time i kept trying to steal until i died(no cuffs). the second time i had my cuffs but i was on the brink of death with my second party when i got it(with cuffs). but it was probably because i was only level 20. i think the stealing gets easier as you level up.

thanx for that post man!. I finaly got my deathbringer wit those thief cuffs that i got from that Nalbina place. I got it but i only had two party members left so i had to run for my life. thanx a million.
