I’ve heard orchestral versions of Super Metroid (a meledy of various themes) and Donkey Kong Country (Aquatic Ambience, beautiful imo), but I don’t know what album they come from, or if they’re even in one (or more than one) at all. Can anyone give me some more info? I’ve been wondering where to find them for the longest, and I gotta hear em again!

On a similar note, does anyone know if there’s gonna be an official CD for PLAY! A Video Game Symphony? The one on the site’s kinda meh, being an audience recording and all. Any word?

hey, does anyone know wher i might be able to find an album or the songs from an album that was a compilation of donkey kong music put together by various people? they were on galbadia hotel a while back, but i haven’t seen them anywhere! the version of aquatic ambience they did was SO MUCH BETTER than the one that was orchestrated, it even had a little psalm kindof embedded in the end, i just cant find the rest of these songs anywhere!

soccerlionheart, you’re lookin for "Beneath the Surface" by Vigilante on OC ReMix. That was a truly amazing rendition of Aquatic Ambience man and one of, if not my absolute favorite OC ReMix ever. No lie.
And its really too bad about there not being a PLAY! CD, since there was some truly awesome stuff in that concert. Here’s hopin though.

Speaking of good remixes (and definitely off-topic gamewise) Seized with Fury is an amazing FFVI boss battle theme remix by housethegrate. Definitely give it a shot if you haven’t heard it yet, it’s simply awesome.
