Okay, assuming you have Red XIII’s 4th limit break, have you learned both his 3rd limit breaks – Howling Moon and Earth Rave? Then you just use the item (Cosmo Memory) and it should work. There’s a possbility Bugenhagen may have to die first, but I don’t think so.

it may also help to know that you have to have every limit before you can equip the level 4 limit, e.g, you have to have 1a and b, 2 a and b 3 a and b then equip 4

but honestly……do you REALLY have to have lvl 4 limits anyway?….the game is easy….when you get in a battle, just mash circle to keep attacking…nothing fancy needed to take care of anything outside of Emerald and Ruby…..(just use dazers before you start attacking and you’ll end up damageless without the utilization of glitches, maxing your characters/materia, or the use of materia outside of underwater)

He’s been using Red XIII since he’s been available, so basically you’re saying that he needs a higher kill count than he already has? Any idea on the exact number?

You need to have all three levels prior to the level four break complete, 2 limits for each level. Just look at page 1.

The limits are based on kills and how many times the limit is used, I think. And I think the numbers had something to do with used 80 times or something for the limit break. I dont know exactly.

Or you can start over.

Sometimes the game will glitch and not let you learn higher limits. The last time I played through, I had all of Tifa’s other limits but couldn’t teach her Final Heaven.
