I decided to try my hand at playing a guitar. I managed to find some cheap Washburns. First of all, are Washburns good? I got myself a bass and an electric for the price of one and only the electric came with an amp. Can I use the amp that came with the electric guitar with the bass? I really have no idea what I’m getting into yet, so I need all the help I can get.

I think you should have gotten an acoustic first. They are gr9.

i’ve no idea about the quality of guitar but you can use the same amp for both.

also, acoustics are indeed gr9 (especially mine)

How big is the amp? You typically need a slightly bigger practice amp for a bass, I think. It should work either way I know I have plugged my bass into my brother’s little 5 watt amp before.

I just got a 5 watt with the electric one. There hasn’t been a problem so far.

It would have been better to have gotten an acoustic first as they’re harder to play, so if you manage to get really good at the acoustic then electrics will be a doddle. Oh Well.
