Anyone Play the City of Heroes/Villains?

Just wondering if anyone plays this here!

I played CoH during the summer of ’05…

I bet a lot has changed since then so I can’t really say much.

I’ve played the betas for a while. Also, I’ve played on a friend’s account for a longer while.

The character creation is nothing short of totally awesome. If you can think of it, you can make it! However, beyond the character creation, the game horribly sucks. A game like this may need no story, but it’s a grindfest till the bitter end. It can only hold my attention for so long.

The game actually has a decent storyline from 40-50 with all the portal stuff you do, but the last missions before that (35-40 or so) are sooooo boring and pointless. In general it’s storyline:grind ratio is the same as any other mmorpg (WoW, FFXI, etc.) and it benefits from having a much more fun combat system. The excelelnt community, of course, is the main reason I was playing for so long.

I disagree. I found the combat system and ability (superpowers) rather limited.

I played City of Villains for two months before the grind made me sick and I cancelled the account and uninstalled.

The only fun part was the PvP.
