Also thoroughly enjoyed FF X and X-2, a very enjoyable world to play in.

Using the Cat Nip is not really cheating, in my opinion. It’s more like a strategy and it works really well with the Gunner’s ability called Trigger Happy. That startegy works well with the strongest enemies in the game.

When using it with Trigger Happy it is possible to kill anything easily really. Yes it is a strategy but takes the fun out of it sometimes. Instead of trying to figure out what abilities to use and the what not it’s kind of.."ahh, screw it, I’ll use Cat Nip and Trigger Happy".

If it’s a part of the game, it isn’t cheating, and I defy anyone to have the patience/skill to beat Via Infinito without Cat Nip.

As far as I’m concerned, Cat Nip / Lady Luck 777, etc. do sorta defeat any real challenge, but they are useful tools for making your way through future replays of the game.
I have beat Via Infinito without Cat Nip (or Lady Luck 777, which IMHO, is a much easier trick to use than Cat Nip and much more effective) and it’s really not all that difficult.
