Hardest Final Fantasy? For me it was FFX. It took me weeks to complete everyone’s status to 255. It was easy to do, but it takes a lot of time.

Nothing beatas FFIII and FFV in difficulty

FFIII is downright difficult even if you know what your doing(Big Rat!)

FFV hasd some of the toughest bosses IMO(like Neo-Exdeath)

Hard, in the "complicated and difficult" sense? Or "long and tedious" sense?

Any FF can be difficult enough if you go in completely blind without a walkthrough. FF9 was hard for me the first time because 1. it was the first one I completed, and 2. I did it without walkthroughs or guides. FF6’s Phoenix Cave and even Kefka’s Tower was complicated at first because I was determined to do those without a walkthrough, and it took a little thinking before I figured out how and when to switch between teams and where to place them for the others.

Maxxing out stats in any game can be hard in the long/tedious sense. FF10 seems the longest, but I honestly couldn’t play that game long enough to max out everyone’s status. I could only do that with FF9. That takes a long time, too. Once I tried to do a stat-maxxing run with my team, which is a low-level run for the most part. Low-level runs can be hard in both the long/tedious and difficult sense.

I think the original FFIV is difficult, only because of the four guys near the end. I don’t remember what they were called, but they had abilities from all of the elements, and you fought them consecutively without the opportunity to save. They also attacked with special moves quite often, and a few of them attacked twice before I could attack once. Dang, those guys, man, just, them, they suck. Were they called the Four Fiends? =\

That is both the hardest game and moment for me. I was still a kid.

final fantasy 1 was unbelievably difficult, mainly because theres no such thing as phoenix downs or what-have-you, so if I were to go into a large dungeon, i would waste all my potions and spells on just keeping my party alive. Then when I get to the boss of the dungeon, im completely spent on means of healing.

In ff6 when you are in the world of ruin and u go to get relm u need to fight that potrait. My party was almost dead and i lost all my hope but i won at the end.

I generally find any of the classics to be much more challenging than those from VII onwards. Unfortunately I don’t have any horror stories to tell like you guys do…

Though if we was talking about tedious, VIII fits that description nicely…

Final Fantasy 10, when you ride that chocobo and dodge the seagulls… that was really hard.

The original Nes version of Final Fantasy I is the first that comes to mind when thinking of the hardest one.

FF 10 the catcher chocobo thing. Trying to get zero seconds is near impossible.

Practice makes perfect, my friend.

I endured at least 3 hourse of cruelty from the Chocobo Trainer, until I finally got it. I was so happy when I got the prize for getting zero on time fully activated Tidus’ weapon. I celebrated my win by eating a piece of good chocolate cake and a glass of orange juice. ^^

Hardest FF moment for me was when I picked up FF7. I’ll never make that mistake twice.
