Hi there, I’m new to this forum and I have a question to owners of the US Version of FFX. I’m european and I’m playing the US Version of FFX on my chiped PS2. When playing FFX the game is not really running in fullscreen. I have a black bar about 1-1.5 inch on top and bottom of my TV screen. Do you have these bars too, when you are playing?

It’s widescreen

It only happens during cutscenes

If it’s not only happening during cutscenes, I think it may have something to do with your PS2 settings. Try checking them and see if they’ve been set to widescreen — I believe there is that option.

But if it is happening only during the FMVs, then it’s normal.

it could also be your TV setting depending on what type of TV you have

hmm…I played around with the TV and PS2 settings, but nothing changed. I also have these black bars with the us version of FFX-2. But I dont have them with other US titles.

it is a widescreen problem you need to make a zoom picture size on your tv or change it to 16:9 picture size

I have a feeling the person who originally posted the topic is long gone.
