And how much money do you want to bet that Nobou will find a way to contribute to the soundtrack, no matter how bad it is ^^?
FFXIII: Versus – Yoko Shimomura
FFXIII: Agito – Takeharu Ishimoto
Hmmmm, its going to be strange having different composers for each one. Thanks Trance ^^
Yoko is a girl. And nom she is not new. She has been composing since the early 90’s.
Thanks again Trance
Thanks again Trance
Frankly, I’m quite surprised you didn’t say ‘is Ishimoto new?’ :p
So anyway, is Ishimoto new?
he’s not a popular SE VGM composer I guess…
Legend of Mana, Parasite Eve and Kingdom Hearts are ones of her most famous discography. and to be honest, she’s the most complicated composer to describe. I have yet to know suitable words to describe Shimomura’s music
Popularity-wise, Street Fighter 2 is her easily her most well known work. (she composed the majority).
Alvinz, Ishimoto is new to the composition world of VGM, but was a synthesizer operator on quite a few Square Enix games before he was ‘promoted’ and started composing.
Now for the wake-up call: Japanese cell phones tripluate as TV remotes and credit cards.
OMFG! H4XX0RZ!
FFXII music is great…
especially when you fight belias and when you summon him…
Tch thats the only music composer I knew, I never really knew the others
When people think of Nobou’s music, the first thing the remember is his classics. The specials rare ones that wows the whole world and leave people wanting more, for example Aerith’s theme, To Zanarkand, Eyes on me, and many others.
But what about the countless other songs that goes into the game that he has composed. You have to consider those too, not just those in the spotlight.
Anyway thats kinda off topic. What i mean when i said Nobou Uematsu is taking credit is that for the recent projects, he hasn’t been composing much. There are other composers who contribute just as much as him, maybe even more to the soundtrack, yet basically people just think its Nobou this and Nobou that.
