What game/anime songs are calming?

On the forum, someone asked if FFX’s To Zanarkand was calming. While most, found it to be sad, I was wondering if there was any video game or anime mp3s you found to be calming or soothing. Here’s a few from me.

Inuyasha – Fukai Mori (instrumental)
Chrono Cross – Another World
Final Fantasy X-2 – Eternity Memory of Lightwaves.

I find the theme from the first Ghost in the Shell to be very calming.

Tifa’s and Aerith’s Themes are pretty calming.

Hmm… "Snake Eater" (both the instrumental and vocal version) from MGS3 Snake Eater

FFX To Zanarkand isn’t calming. It stirs up my inner monkey. Generally sad-ish non upbeat songs from anime are calming.

i recently got the music collections for final fantasy VII VIII and IX, all great stuff btw.

and not thats its exactly in the game, but the piano collections disc for VIII is some of my favorite music, very relaxing

I say that The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker music on the Forest Haven is pretty calming. Just my opinion.

The tracks "Hanglider" and "Birdman" from Pilot Wings 64 have always been a calm listening for me. Most of the music from Hot Shots Golf 3 and Fore also.

any of the billion versions of the ff 6 theme/opening/world song ‘terra’

also i love the ocarina in zelda. all the zelda albums from all the games i could fall asleep too. not cause their boring, cause they just relax me, esp the windmill/song of storms tune

Generally, ICO has some calming music. Eerie at times, though.

The Title Theme, Ocarina Songs, Ocarina Of Time and Kakariko Village from Ocarina of Time are also calming for me.

i find suteki da ne from ff X calming. also takes me back to my highschool partying days, cos this ff fangirl through a party and playing music from her computer this song came on. hilarious reaction.

but the piano collections disc for VIII is some of my favorite music, very relaxing

The Successor, Eyes on Me, and Fisherman’s Horizon are really calming on that disc.

the VII piano collections isn’t bad either… Tifa’s theme and Aeris’ theme are great on that disc.

The music from Samurai Champloo is pretty relaxing, especially the track "World without Words".

I’m not to sure of the exact names of these songs, but they are from FFXI. They are: Ronfaure, Rolanberry, Mhaura, Sanctuary of Zitah, and Aydeewa Subterrane are some of my personal favorites. They calm me down a lot.

my definition of a calming song is one that you can listen to with headphones on and just walk through snow all day, if you kno what i mean, anyways, some of my favorite are,
Beneath the surface, king in concert- underwater music from DK orchestrated with a bible psalm embedded in the end, (not even religious, but its still powerful to me)

I dunno. D: I don’t have that many calming songs on my playlist. xD I usually prefer dramatic instrumentals.

I’d say that the Morrowind "explore" tunes are made to calm the player. I think that the tune "Safe In Beregost" or "The Friendly Arm Inn" in Baldur’s Gate 1 are very efficient too !

I’ll back up the comments about hanglider and birdman from Pilotwings64 being calming- they could just about put me into a pleasant trance. Mercenaries has some calm music when you’re walking around away from skirmishes, and Operation Market Garden from Medal Of Honor: Frontline IS very calming, but Arnhem isn’t much. After the Drop is a bit more calming. There’s a few from Mario 64 that do the trick as well- ones like Dire, Dire Docks and Cave Dungeon. Peace in the Kingdom from Kameo is good too, and…well there are thousands, aren’t there? The Anime Kiki’s Delivery Service has a calming recurring theme and the credit song One Minute Warning from the first Ghost in the Shell movie is good but if I go into Anime as well I’ll be here all day, so I’ll leave the rest for someone else.
