Now, onto some information about the file that you are downloading. This is the Hellsing OVA I, not the digest. This is the full fifty minute thing in all of its awesomeness. It is an mkv, which contains softsubs so that you can change their look in whatever media player you’re viewing the file in. If you don’t know how to work an mkv, there is a readme included in this release that tells you how to run an mkv, and how to turn the subtitles on if they are not already. The video is a different encoding from the more widely released RAW, and was provided to us by thehellsingproject.org. It is 24fps rather than the unneccessary 120fps that most of you have, and it is really high quality. Did I mention it looks nice? It also runs nicely on most computers, because it isn’t trying to render all those 120 frames every second.

Lastly, if you’re on a mac, we’re not sure how it looks yet, but we used a WINDOWS-1252 charset so the � in Fr�ulein showed up with those two little dots above it. If it doesn’t work, please let us know and we will release a .ssa file that doesn’t have the dots, and tell you how you can remerge that into the .mkv that we released. It isn’t difficult, and it doesn’t take very long.

Saw this a couple months ago. Pretty neat stuff. I like the art style a lot. It was also pretty awesome getting a glimpse of the Nazi guy (Don’t worry, that’s not really a spoiler).

Are you using uTorrent? That’s the client that was recommended on the forums when someone else complained that it wasn’t working.

magnet links? wtf? arg. i hate those cause my stupid shareazaa wants to use them. don’t know if my torrent client can use those cause i don’t have edk2/emule installed right now. aren’t there any web links?

Uh, use Shareazaa to download it, it handles torrent links as well.

It’s kind of slow, though, apparently everyone with broadband leeched it and isn’t seeding anymore. 🙁
