—–Daedalus R6—– (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=29414)

Although most games still don`t run perfectly and sound is still only a dream "StrmnNrmn" has released version 6 (R6) of "Daedalus"-an N64 emulator for the PSP.

I`ve tried it and it`s certainly promising looking back at version 5. For exmple, Games such as Zelda and Mario although very slow have no more big technical issues as far as the mapping goes. Apart from some tiny issues Zelda looks perfect. I`ll look forward to future releases that StrmnNrmn brings out. It`ll be only a matter of time until the N64 is squeezed onto my little lovely PSP.

Analog stick for movement, directional buttons for more buttons, no problem. :smrt:

what analogue stick?

Analogue knob then, it’s below the directional buttons, near the screen.

I prefer emulators to the real systems, in most cases.

It actualy works pretty well on the PSP to be honest. Anyway, i`m very impressed with it even if some of you are anti-sony foaming twats. 😀

Yeah that`s right, i bumped it. Also, i double posted. I bumped it AND i double posted.

Renegade~

Anyway, there`s been a slight update. Now the games that do work run 7-10% faster. The only one i`ve tried is Mario 64 but it looks extrememly impressive for a few days work.

Good times are a comin…….

I’m guessing it’s useless with my 2.71?

Yup, sorry.

It`s only for firmware 1.5-2.6

How many other games have they got running on the emu, or is Mario and Zelda the only test subjects

doesn anyone know anything about PS1 games being played on the PSP i heard rumours that would be god like

It`s true. Come October Sony should releasing their official PSone emu for the PSP. However, i`m not sure how big the games will be though and i`ll wait until someone cracks the program tbh.

Well so far, 50 games are either known to be working or just chugging along.

Here`s a downloadable list (http://pspupdates.qj.net/Latest-Daedalus-R6-Compatibility-update-50-games-tested-/pg/49/aid/60662) of which ones work so far.

Sure is, although since that release the developer has gotten Mario running a lot faster as with Zelda. R7 should be out pretty soon and i guess we`ll see how better it is than R6.

When someone finally makes a proper DS emulator, everyone should have it on their PSP, then the PSP will be the ultimate handheld device XD

Can`t be done. :/

What about the touch screen aspect of the DS?. You can`t emulate that.

You must be kidding. A mouse can easily replicate the effect of a stylus on a touch screen.

You must be kidding. A mouse can easily replicate the effect of a stylus on a touch screen.

Of course, but i was talking about the PSP emulating the DS. Still, the analog could do it but it sounds too tedious compared to the quick an easy stylus the DS has.

I might as well keep this update to this thread….

Daedalus R7 Released!

And it`s about bloody time. 🙂

R7 looks to be a lot faster than R6 judging by this Youtube video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=eBzTuhSJESM). Anyway, i`m going to test a few games soon. ;(
