even if no DS-specific capabilities were to be used (I’m sure it’ll use some), it’s still a hell of a lot more powerful than the GBA. why not?

I can understand putting III on a portable system, and the DS is just fine for that, but what about on consoles? The number of people who own a DS and play Final Fantasy isn’t very big (as far as I know). I know that there would be decent sales if released for a console, but they’ve done this with IV, so the chances seem slim that anything will happen outside of the range of the DS.

Because there has been almost 20 million DS sold already, and the two Final Fantasy remakes for the GBA did quite well. The DS is the hottest thing on the market right now, handheld or console, so it is the right move to put it on there.

lol sarah…you always find the newest things about final fantasy…i remember threads with the cost of the ps3…final fantasy 13 being 80% complete…something about final fantasy 12…and lots of other rumours, facts and other things…do u like 2 search 4 these things? well it keeps me up with the latest things lol
bak on topic…1,2, and 4 tactics and advanced all made lots of money…personally i h8 all hand held consoles and i think the DS is just a GBA with a screen u can touch, but if ppl like it they like it
