Elder Scrolls Oblivion-YOWZA!

Firstly yes, i ate my own words and got an Xbox360. And yes, it`s a nice piece of kit that seems to be dishing out some nice titles recently.

Anyway, along with the 360 i got The Elder Scrolls IV-Oblivion. And for me, this has to be my dream game come true. I thought that was the case with Morrowind but Oblivion has topped it and then some. The freedom is unparalleled, the world stunning and thankfully the combat has gotten an overhaul. Now weapons feel like they have weight and thanks to a physics engine, the world is a lot more interactive.

Oh boy, i`m in heaven.

Anyone else very fond of this game?

Yeah I know what you mean. Lately it seems to be about every five minutes than an advert for one of the games on those is shown lol.

I’ve been thinking about getting hold of one of one of the earlier games for a while as I think they sound interesting but haven’t yet as i’m still in the middle of about 5 different games at the moment which need to be finished off.

Have to say I think that one looks cool though. Whats the storyline like? Does it have anything to do with the earlier games? =)

Well, you don`t have to play any of the previous games at all to know what`s going on in Oblivion. Each game is set in a separate "country" with it`s own story.

Also, i suggest getting Morrowind for the PC to start you off. Considering you should find it very cheap it`ll be well worth it. It`s also a massive world filled with plenty of missons and quests that you`ll just lose yourself in.

I was a bit let down by its AI system, it built up so much hype yet it isn’t BRILLIANT or anything. The game itself is great, not the best game out there but defintiely a top title. It’s a very good start on next generation gaming.

Its a very good game, but it does have its flaws. For everything it has done right there are so many things that could be improved. Plus the fact that I have it for PC and it is so slow also is annoying… sometimes good graphics are a curse…
