I just saw ff VIII pc versions cd yesterday and because i was interested in final fantasy i bought it. But when i installed the game and the ge force patch and then tried to run the game it always gives an error at the middle of the starting video (always at the same place) and then closes down. Can it be because my computer is too good for FF VIII, or because i play on Win XP, or is it because of the cd? Please any help will be highly appreciated, i wanna play the game so badly.

My System:
-Pentium III 800 Mhz
-384 MB RAM
-Ge Force MX 440
-VIA AC 97 sound card
-Windows XP Professional version 2002 Service Pack 2

blah blah blah…

Please help!:-(

Pentium III 800mHz? rofl definitely not too good for FFVIII, not at all. Might be too slow for it lol.

Other than that, yeah it’s probably the disc, you must have bought it second hand.
