Nintendo’s top 200 games list

I doubt many of you people are subscribed to Nintendo Power, but I have been for the past 16 or 17 years. Yes there is a lot of bias going on with their games, but I figured I’d go ahead and ask you guys what you think are the top games to ever appear on any Nintendo console. Here are their top 10:

#10 – Metroid Prime
#9 – Super Mario Bros
#8 – Super Mario World
#7 – The Legend of Zelda
#6 – Super Mario Bros 3
#5 – Super Mario 64
#4 – The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
#3 – The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
#2 – Resident Evil 4
#1 – The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I’m pretty pissed off that WW made it that high. I just thought it was one of the worst, if not the worst, Zelda game in the series. I was a little shocked to see how high RE4 was. It’s been out for less than a year, and it wasn’t even developed by Nintendo. But the rest is completely Nintendo-dominated, minus Resident Evil 4. And I’m not at all surprised that Ocarina of Time is their greatest game.

So. Just some thoughts and opinions?

If they put Super Metroid in for RE4, I could live with their top three.

It’s strange that Super Metroid isn’t in the top 10 at all. It usually makes the top 10s of lists that cover all consoles.

The Best Zelda that I’ve played is Link’s Awakening.

There’s a good chance my top 10 games for Nintendo consoles wouldn’t include any games by Nintendo, but we’ll never know as I’ll never make such a list ever.

Well it seems pretty ridiculous to me that, imo, the worst of the series is one of the greatest games to ever come out of Nintendo.

WW isn’t all that bad, but it certainly does not belong in the Top 10, I quite enjoyed playing it. RE4 came as a shock, the game is awesome, that’s for sure. But it’s been around the shortest, and being non Nintendo. Kind of curious why Super Smash Brothers Melee isn’t in there, it’s in my opinion one of their greatest games.

Not sure what to think about OoT, it’s good and deserves a top 10 position, just not sure if it’s top 3 material.

Most of it was okay, but the Wind Waker sucked in my opinion, and RE4 was good, but not top ten worthy.
