i dont know if anyone knows this or not, but supposedly the name ‘final fantasy’ was predicted to be their last project, because they were going bankrupt. so it was metaphorical in essence. a little tidbit of fun for ya.

I think the name "Final Fantasy" for the series they ended up making is ridiculous. In most of the games, I doubt the main characters of each one fantasised about saving the world and meeting their long lost, horrifically evil relatives and such. But it is series we have all come to love and cherish….

I used to, but now I think I’ve told everyone I know who’s likely to ask that question. But I used to get asked that nearly everyday when I was younger.

A LOT of people have heard about the Final Fantasy series and all that haven’t played the classics just say (for example) "Why are there like 20 Final Fantasies? I mean they aren’t even good.". Addmittedly some aren’t great, but I’d just love to smash their faces in for uttering something so evil.

I thought at first that "Final Fantasy" was called "Final Fantasy" just to sound cool and all that. But then I read the history behind the name, and I find it very cool. 🙂
