Religon in FF

I just saw Sephiroths back in Kingdom Hearts he has 6 wings, i guess that make him a fallen serapheram? same with rinoa and Ultimecia(DONT MAKE THIS INTO A RINOA IS ULTIMECEA THREAD!) FFX is full of it (I think yevon Is Islam or Catholisism) any one elsethink of anyothers?

The FF games are not influenced by any particular real-world religion, although parallels can be drawn though with certain faiths in the real world throughout history with elements of the FF games.

However the stories for FFVII and the FF movie though, were both inspired by James Lovelock’s ‘Gaia Hypothesis’ (a belief that the Earth is a living organism, with all lifeforms on the planet intristincally linked to it by a ‘circle of life’). As FF creator Hironobu Sakaguchi has confirmed in interviews, he was inspired by Gaia Hypothesis after the sudden death of his mother Aki in a car crash in 1989.

How much of the idea Sakaguchi used in the games came from Lovelock and how much was his own imaginative invention is anyone’s guess though.

I just think there has to be some thing there with all the religion references in 7 8 &10/2

the characters in ff are influenced by the creators and whateva religion they are… so if they dont have a religion… weeeeeeeee ^_________^

As well as the tree of life reference (throneofOminous), sephiroth and Seraphim sound very similar and sephy has 6 wings in KH 4 very hard 2 c, a serphim tademark

I dug the fact that FF has religious references in the story. It makes for a deeper experience and more mysterious vibe.

the whole world follows the religon though kinda freaky

I remember in FFX Wakka saying something like, "We have to repent to get rid of Sin", so I’m sure many people could have saw a religious influence in that.
