im relatively new on the FF scene. i’ve been playing rpg’s all my life, and when one of my friends saw me playing RO obsessively (30 hours straight XD) he handed me his copy of FFVI for PC. i got all excited and imediately ran to install it….only to get this () as soon as it runs.

if i "wait it out", i get a new problem. as soon as i get the new game/continue screen, the finger goes crazy. i sat thought the intro movie (which also turned out like the above image) hoping i would be able to play, and when gameplay started, the game acted like i was holding down the num7 key. here are my specs:

XP Home edition, SP2
P3 processor, 733mhz
320mb ram
NVidia GeForce4 MX4000
game running from ISO file using Daemon tools 3.47 with XP patch.

i’ve tried the following:
running in other compatibility modes, using software rendering, and using nvidia riva128 support.

what am i not doing? im really anxious about playing….any help would be great ^^ thanks.

a) either you mean ffvii or you put this in the wrong spot
b) the easiest way to fix that is to smash the disk and go buy the playstation version

i meant ffvii….and i have $0 to my name, so getting the ps version plus a playstation isnt really an option for me.

can anyone help me? i’ve been staring at the icon on my desktop wanting to dive in….i can live without the movies, but the movement thing isnt something i can just ignore. can anyone atleast help me with that? thanks

If you’re going to play a PC game, you might as well just give up on that one and play one of the dozens of superior RPGs on the market. I just can’t understand why people keep trying to play FFVII when it’s horribly outdated and vastly inferior in every respect to newer games.

It never was brilliant in the first place.

And if Prak DID think that it was a brilliant game in the first place, he certainly wouldn’t say that it has become a bad game somehow.
