Untill FFXII comes out, can anyone suggest an RPG in the same vein that is heavilly story driven, menu based, NOT timed button presses like Shadow Covenant or Magna Carta. I am looking for something like FFX, good story, fun to play, and menu based. Anyone?

If you live in the US, Dragon Quest VIII is a good option – especially since it has a demo of FF12 as well as being an awesome game.

If you’re stuck in the PAL territories like me, you’re out of look – Xenosaga Episode II has just been released here, but it’s hard to track down a copy.

if you suck too much at video games to get enjoyment out of shadow hearts, you have problems. lots of fun, and the timing thing isnt even difficult.

but uhhh yea. dragon quest viii is fucking excellent.
