Guitar Hero

I am in love with this game. It’s possibly one of the most addictive, well-tuned and just plain fun rhythm action games ever released.

I’m getting slowly but surely better at medium mode, 5-ing a few songs and hopefully being able to finish off the last few painful ones right at the end.

Here’s the track list – note, none of the tracks are the actual bands. Some are better covers than the others, for example, Cochise is really good, whereas Killer Queen is really bad. Not so bad you can’t play it, but that just ain’t Freddy Mercury.

It’s just satisfying when you really nail a track. Trust me on this.

So far my favourites have been Ziggy Stardust, No One Knows (it’s arguably one of the hardest in the game, but getting the solo right is amazing), Bark At The Moon, and Infected.

I just can’t stop playing.

I tried playing it while I was drunk, but it didn’t work. But yeah, it’s a fun game.

Didn’t need to see that… in any case GH is extremely addictive, and will be even more so when the 80’s version comes out in the second quarter, as well as GH3 in the fourth quarter.

Topic: I love Guitar Hero. I am stuck on 5-star-ing a couple of the Hard songs ("No One Knows" and "Bark at the Moon"). About the last half of the playlist I can’t get 5 stars on Expert.

might as well use this to talk about gh in general? O_o

my first game was gh2. and since then i’ve been wanting to get my hands on a cheap copy of part 1. (fuck ebgames for redistributing for a $40+ price tag) fuck you! >.< i’ll wait for it to be 20 if i’m lucky. -_-

anyway. i loved it. i was just going in to get a mem card at bestbuy and they ahd it on display and no one was playing it. i picked it up, and tried it. i didn’t know how to use it at all! lol i thought i only had to press the color buttons (that’s what i called them) and dind’t know i had to actually STRUM the guitar lol.

after 5 attempts on easy. i got hooked, and baught it right away. took it home. and a few months later. i can finally do hard. o_o (but i avg 3 stars on hard if i’m lucky). i "mastered" medium 5 stars on everything. (i like to unlock things).

hard is a bitch though! >.<

Yeah, the fact that they’re all decent to lame cover tunes, but listed otherwise when Konami was promoting the game was a bit of a turn off, as I’m a big fan of bands like Incubus, The Slip, RHCP, Helmet, etc. But like that Elite Beat Agents, it doesn’t matter too much after a while, it’s the gameplay that is crazy fun.

I am actually much better than this but hell it was funny.

Guitar Hero is what introduced me to the band All That Remains. I think they’re a fucking awesome band!

With Guitar Hero I obtained a new respect for Avenged Sevenfold.

They should have "Pollute the Sound" by Drist for GH3.
