Best Final Fantasy

What is your favourite final fantasy of all time? i would have to say 7 because of the amout you have to do!

I will have to agree with you and say 7 is the best. it has the greatest story line of anything ive ever played, read, or watched.

It always used to be X but lately after watching Advent Children and the anticipation of the upcoming compilations, VII might now be my favourite

My favorite is 8 simply because it was the first final fantasy (or any rpg actually) that I ever played and beat.

I think X is my favourite, imo the best characters, music and plot. though i do like VII a lot because of the graphics, i think that there the best graphics out of the whole series, even though X tries to look more realistic. And IX will always have a special place in my heart as it was the first FF, or RPG, i have ever played and completed.

ANyway, I’d have to say FF6, it has a great story line, awesome characters, great magic/summoning sytem. And the whole atmosphere is just great. And ofcourse Kefka.

I LOVE VII AS IT WAS MY FIRST RPG GAME+ I PLAY 7~8 times still not getting bored, second is FFX follow by FFX-2

ive neva played ffvii but ive seen advent children and also heard that ffvii rawkz! i would go with ffviii being my fav that waz the first ff ive eva played then it would be ffx then ffx-2

FF6. Why? Because, to sum it up in a jumble of words: Awesome, kick-butt, orriginal, thoughtful, amazing, plot, characters/ character development, and….. KEFKA! Enough said.

Okay. Personally I think your quite the ace fellow, but you have to stop with this, "Lets try and be as elitist as possible" shit. Now I know what it feels like to be an elitist, I’m a Radiohead fan. But, seriously it’s only people expressing their views on a game.

After saying that, my favourite is probably Final Fantasy VII as well. Mainly due to the fact that it was my first RPG, and back then it just seemed a brilliant game. The battle system was great, the storyline, though obviously no masterpiece, it had enough story to bring you in but not to obstruct that this is a game. I mean it’s lasted 8 years (and that’s quite a long time for a game), and still thousands and thousands of people still admit this is the best RPG they’ve ever played. I mean that must mean something. Squaresoft MUST have done something right for this particular game, out of all the other games they have created, Final Fantasy VII is still in pretty much everyones ‘Top 10 Favourite Games’ list, and that is pretty hard to argue against.

So if some one looves FF7 (not me, i just like it) they are a fanboy and as a result dont deserve respect? I have noticed this from other threads too…..

There is a difference between loving a game, and becoming so enwrapped in it that you forget how to correctly structure a sentence.

ff6 was a great game…im surpised no one has said ff4 yet thats a true classic.
and i love ff7 its my fav def, and agree with dr. tchocky. just cuz some thinks its the greatest game doesnt make there opionon worthless

FFVIII would have to be my favourite because it was the first Final Fanatsy game I played 2. FFVII would be my next best favourite. FF4 would be my favourite out of the snes & earlier games though, I loved that game.

i would say 8 or 10 because in 10 they actually talk and has a good story line but i like ff8 because it KIKS ASS!!!

VII, VIII and IX are the best ones in my oppinion. If I had to choose I would pick VIII.
