Yes, the fastest way to get gil is beat One Eye in the monster arena. He will drop Ap to Overdrive weapons, (Easy way to get those) and sell sell sell. They are worth 30,000-110,000 each.

You can get Yojimbo below 200,000. Simply offer him half his asking price plus one. For example, if he asks for 300,000, offer 150,001. Then when he makes another offer, raise your own offer by 1 more. That should have him down close to 200,000. At that point, he’ll accept bids just below 200,000.

May I ask how you fight this one eye?

I have never been to the monster arena, although I know what it is.

To the other poster, I only have 30,000 gil, so offering "chicken feed for a pheasant" apparently isnt going to work.

To fight One Eye, I think you have to capture all of the various Eye fiends from around the world. By the time you can do that, you’ll probably have enough money to just pay Yojimbo off. =/

It will help to capture all the monsters in the game though. They contain valuble items that you can use for upgrading weapons and of course selling, but if you want to fight any of these guys you will have to have break damage limit and quite possibly and auto phoenix.

Not necessarily. I don’t have break damage limit or auto phoenix on all my characters or aeons, but i have defeated most of the arena monsters, except the "original" ones, them thing are so goddamn hard!

Yeah and for those you will need break damage limit and only 2 people in your pary will need auto phoenix, but its up to you. It is a bit time consuming so proberlly best not to.
