three’s a party

in ff vii wat party would you use the most or count as the best combo?
i always use
1=cloud
2=barret
3=cid or vincent

you know you could of just replied to one of the 500 or so threads of the same topic instead of starting your own, right?

Cloud, Aeris (til she died), and Vincent. Or Cid.

I’d use..

1= Cloud
2= Barret
3= Vincent

no one else…

But I always used to make a turn over to let everybody be at the same level.

Actually, no. I found his Limit Break to be worthless. You loss control of him. His weapons are o.k. In my last file, he was my weakest character in my group of Cloud, Barret and Vincent. Define the words "good" and "cool".

I didn’t like his limits either….but other than that he’s a pretty awesome character…..I don’t use him that often in boss battles (because of his limits), but he was useful in the battles against the ultimate weapon as a black mage….even though he got knocked out at the end…

Vincent was the only person I used for ages (apart from Cloud) so he became the second strongest after Cloud…

vinicnet is the man i liked his story and he is co cuz he has that dark overtone to him yet he is a good guy. his weapon is cool cuz ts longrande so u can put him in back row and give im alot of materia and his damage he deals is still same

yeah vincent was strong but he would of been better if he had of joinded your team from the start :-\

Vincent was ok i guess but i just couldnt be bothered to change from my original party.

Vincent is probably my worst fighter but in my three I would have Cloud, Yuffie and Cid

Cloud/Barret/Cid. THE team of FFVII…IMO.

Truely the team of FFIV. Cloud’s a great character. Yeah, he’s a soulless tough bastard that doesn’t give a damn about anything… until he meets Aeris. Ever since he met that girl that tended to his wounds back in the slums church, he became much more than a wandering mercenary. He fought for her safety (at first for a date) but then his goal became much more than hunting down robots for gil. He discovered Sephy and his goal to use Meteor on Earth (or whatever the FFIV world is called) When Sephiroth kills Aeris, Cloud wanted to get revenge and release the powers that Aeris previously intended to summon to prevent Meteor’s destruction: Holy. Sephiroth also prevented the arrival of Holy, putting more on the line for Cloud.

Anyways, aside from Cloud’s personality, he wields a huge sword, he can use the legendary Omnislash AND his stats are rather high (and can be even higher with Ziedrich + Ultima Weapon at the expense of Materia growth)

Barret’s personality don’t interest me that much, has very few classic lines (aside from "There ain’t no stop on this train we on.") and doesn’t develop much during the story. (Sure, he cares more for Cloud and his "spikey-headed white ass", but that’s about it) His defense, the long range of most of his weapons and his many limits make him a great battle character. Those 3 things can totally put hell on Dyne.

As for our good ol’ Cid, he ranks as second in terms of battle techniques and personality, except Barret is introduced MUCH earlier in the game, which is why I saved the better for last. Cid hates anything + anyone except himself. Later, he joins Cloud because he’s after Shinra very much like himself. Cid isn’t involved with Sephiroth, like Barret. Also, his stats are similar except for the slight speed boost he has. His limits are also a treat, even his Dragon Dive, which can deal severe damage to any group he fights against. Highwind is above all the greatest limit break he has, even better than Catastrophe in terms of damage and animation.

It’s alright is others decide to use any other characters (like Cait Sith and Tifa) but Cloud/Barret/Cid is my favorite and that’s my opinion. If you don’t like that, then sucks to be you.

They own. I may have to put 2x Cut on Cait Sith to keep him better than the others but i just plain like him. (I know his limit breaks SUCK! let’s NOT start something on that!)

By the way I thought Vincents Limits were cool! I would be working hard just to see his next cool form!

I used Aeris until she died, then picked up Vincent. He’s a good "summoner" so I use him for that. Aeris is my white mage, then Tifa. Cloud, well, big sword and Limit Break, can I say more?

Cloud/Red XIII/Vincent

I don’t care much for Vincent either; I unlock him because I love the Hojo flashbacks, and his "serious" one-liners are pretty funny.

But, that’s for another thread.

The best party is Cloud/Yuffie/Cid.

I beat Safer Sephiroth within a minute with these guys. Cloud and Yuffie are the chief fighters (Yuffie is the best long-range fighter for when Sephy goes out of reach), while Cid casts spells and does damage with "Deathblow" on his Venus Gospel. They’re just great.

The best final battle experience was another time I fought Sephiroth and he cast Super Nova and activated all three of my character’s limit breaks. After casting a good Megaelixir, the limit breaks came off one by one: "All Creation," "Highwind", and "Omnislash" in that order. And wouldn’t you know it? Sephiroth stayed alive just long enough for all the characters to do their stuff and he died after "Omnislash". It was like a movie, it was so cool.

My very first playthrough, I used Cloud, Vincent and Cid. Every time after that, I use Cloud, Barret, and Cid. Their final limits hit for the most series of 9s. XD

Tifa gets alot of usage aswell.

Same here, though after Aeris Dies, i put Cid in, cause hes go a triple growth weopon (schitzmatar or something?) Then off to the north crater to find some magic pots!!

I’m a Cloud/Tifa/RedXIII girl.

And I never get Yuffie.

I hate her.

She’s evil.

And annoying.

And stubborn.
