ff7 pc technical problem

Well after playing the brilliant ff6, and chancing upon the amazing Advent Children…….i was extremely driven to get out and buy ff7 to play. Soooo i bought the ff7 pc version for 34 bucks so i can finish the game, then enjoy watching advent children…….however

my world came crashing down when my game screwed up. After i leaving Turk’s Cave where mr tseng, elena and rude were talking, my game crashed.

so does anyone have a patch for that? or a solution, i’ve searched the net and i only find patches for chocobo race and stuff. So now I’m feeling lost and depressed zzzz please help me if u can thanks alot.

Have you tried playing through it again? My pc version will crash for no apparent reason every now and then, but other than that it works fine.

well, i really dont know what to say cause i play my FF’s on the ps and ps2. oh and i noticed your new so, Hi 🙂

hi thanks for the replies, i changed the compatibility mode to windows 98/ME and it didn’t crash….den i got out of the place and got yuffie :p woohoo!

anyway its so stupid…how can changing compatibility jus switch things around like that? they shouldn’t release such a buggy version of the game, i mean since alot of people are actually using XP.

He’s right. You’ll find that most games that crash in Win XP work perfectly fine in previous versions. Hence why Microsoft installed the compatibility mode for windows apps

crap just crap…..my game crashed again at some mako reactor in costa del something…..grrrrr i don’t know wat to do now, i mean i already changed the compatibility…now this…

and i like naruto too haha

hey how come i can’t view the names of the monsters i fight? and the towns that i enter theres no name shown or anything its very hard to remember. Must i press a button or something?

where did you buy it for 34 dollars i got it for 22 at walmart

i’m replaying my game now on my win xp pc, (i got it many years ago, and it worked fine on my win95 pc).

it crashed just before the FMV where you’ll get the tiny bronco, no matter how many times i restarted, it happens again.

i just downloaded a saved game frm the net, and continued playing. luckily for me, the saved game is saved just after the tiny bronco is gotten so i was able to continue without any worries.

hey how do i change the compatibility of the pc…currently i am using window xp and my game crash too…hahaha can someone teach me how i can switch it to make it window 98/ME compatible?
