Beating Baralai

grrr, I can’t beat Baralai!!!

I’m just about to get to vednegun on ffx-2, but I got stopped by baralai. he’s real fast and bloody hard to beat! i checked the official guide and followed the strategy on it, but I still couldn’t beat him!!!. Maybe I just need to train up more…

Any tips on how to beat this dude would be real helpful!!!

You mean you’re in Chapter 2 and you’ve just traveled through the Bevelle Underground. Well, just so you know — if you think you’re getting to Vegnagun, sorry.

But Baralai, not too rough. I have the official guide on me right now, lemme check the strategy and see what it says… That strategies all right, but if you’re having difficulty. I’d recommend the following alternate — use an Alchemist if you have it and attack and heal as needed. Use attack items and Mix to even the odds as well. If you grabbed the Dark Knight dressphere, use Darkness, drain and any other abilities you’ve gained by now to even the odds. If all else fails, switch any character to a special dressphere and fire away.

mmm yeah, I did try using the special dress spheres at first but he still beat me. I’ll try the alchemist option- the dark knight strategy was good, but I found that some of the stuff that I did just didn’t affect him. Thanx for the info.

Honestly, what levels are you on? I’m becoming quite suspicious that you’re seriously under-leveled.

lol, true, I may need some more training up. I came across Baralai quite a while ago and gave up due to sheer frustration, but I’m gonna give it a go at beating him again. I can’t remember what levels I was, but I did quite a bit of training up. Maybe I just need to do more…that was the case when I couldn’t beat a boss on ff8.

If it Helps Use a Gun Mage and try to get hit by Drill Shot of Baralai, and you’l learn the Drill Shot Ability wich you can use right away to even the odds
