i got civ 4 yesterday. yessirrrr.

although my disc is really, really scratched already. i think it is because of my laptop. so i am hoping for a nocd patch, like, soon. :/

also am currently playing on chieftain to get used to the basics, it is quite easy. religion is really nifty, but the dialogues seem irritatingly less informative. maybe it’s just because i’m not used to it.

it’s a pretty game but I don’t think I’ll be able to get into it. it’s just too slow. every time I have an army and I’m ready to KICK SOME ASS I skip about 15 turns just to get them to where they need to be. BLOODLUST.

and they seem to reward you way too much for porcing. I dunno, in my strategy games I like all or nothing DESTROY DEM but that’s not civ at all ;-;; sorry but spending 20 hours on a single game to not kick ass, but instead, try and fail to send a ship to alpha centauri isn’t my thing

i am getting mine on friday ! i’ll probably play like, one game of chief and jump straight to warlord cause if it’s anything like civ iii chieftain it’ll be a waste of time even playing at that level. ; ;;

but building up culture, infrastructure, etcccc is all the fun of civ. it’s not about SMASHING THINGD

also I played a game for like 3 hours straight last night and I was KICKING ASS but I saved it and quit because I was tired. when I tried to start it up again? CRASH. the save game was corrupted or sth.
