I don’t really see the advantage – shiny black is more attractive than ipod white, imo.
The only reason i’d buy one is if it shipped with 1.5 so I could actually hack it without fear, but alas, it ships with 2.0 ;_;

If you have firmware 1.5 or below, you can ‘hack’ the system by installing your own firmware on it. Once you’ve done that, you can run homebrew apps – including Megadrive and SNES emulators, not to mention games like the original Doom and Duke3D. Check out http://www.pspupdates.com for more info.
Unfortunately, if you’re like me and have firmware 2.0 (or even 1.5.1), you can’t hack ;_;
