Playing FFX for the first time, well sort of….

The minute FFX was released i rushed into town and without thought bought it for a whooping 70 euro. Fresh off FFIX i was expecting something similar but, when i played it first i feel sick. I hated the characters, the music, the story and pretty much everything else. Just as i did with FFVIII, i totaly tried to drag it down in comparison to it`s predecessor. Which was very, very wrong…

Two days ago, bored out of my brain i decided to give it a whirl, and…wow. For a few years now it`s been sitting on my shelf useless but i`m just glad i didn`t sell it. I can`t put it down, i`m really enjoying it because i put my expectations behind aswell as the previous FF games. So as it stands now, just like FFVIII, for a long time i have ridiculed it, but also just like FFVIII, when i actualy tried to enjoy it, i loved it.

So, right here, i take back every ill word i said regarding FFX. It`s great, and i should have seen that three years ago……

You are forgiven, Dirge. You shouldn’t compare FFs to eachother, imo the variety is one of the good things about the series.

Nothing like gaining back someone from the darkness to the light. Oh and I am very glad to hear that Dirge. Enjoy the game. 🙂

Same thing happened to me, and it happened with FF1, and FF2.

I think i negelected it because it just felt so different. But i`m just pissed that when i did play it first i got to the very end because i felt like i had to….(70 euro).

The ending is quite intersesting. And the final battle is very fun. It is hugely different than any other FF I’ve played.
