I’m currently playing FF6 and I am disapointed to see that there are no summons. The Espers give their magic abilities, but can we summon them. I am at the part where you can control the zeppelin. Can we summon them later in the game?

Go to the magic option and press up.
You will be able to summon the equipped esper.

There are limits though. You can only equip one Esper (summon monster) per character at a time, and you can only summon that Esper once per battle.
Which was good, as it prevented players from becoming over-reliant on simply summoning endlessly to get them through a battle, unlike later FF games (FFVIII and X I’m looking in your direction..)
