FF 7 rerelease rumor?

=-O I heard a rumor that FF7 could be re-released. now i know what you are thinking but no its not going to be ps3 but it could be PSP. I have no evidence to back this up but if anyone knows anything please tell me

It won`t be on PSP, or PS3 or even PS2. The only "re-release" is a with the FFVII:AC limted edition which is exactly the same as the original. Apart from a flashy cover of course.

Do you want us to tell you because you think FFVII is the greatest game ever and that by remaking the game with better graphics will somehow increase it’s greatness by a large magnitude?

EGM is hinting in it’s latest edition (I received it yesterday), that FF7 will be remade for the PS3. It may have all, or some, of the things the original one lacked.

To be honest, I don’t think a remake would be as good as the original game. Who said anything was wrong with poorly polygonized characters? 😉

I think it’s just a rumor as well, EGM thinks they will make a remake, and it is possibly, when the writing well for the FF team goes dry(which may happen, but I doubt it), they could always work on a remake of FFVII. Not to mention, they already have enough stuff on their plate with FFXII and FFXIII, so even if they would make a remake, they would probably wait to start it until FFXIII was finished.

I think a FFVII remake could happen, but not anywhere close to the near future.

Im sure that eventualy emulators will be developed for the PSP and you will be able to transfer iso’s made from your original copies of the game to a memory stick.

I believe you will be able to get the impression of a suped up FFVII with dirge of cerebus.

Apart from that I would like to see a re-issue of the PC version updated for better compatibility and resolutions. Or a perfect port to PSP.

I just think that for now on, unless we here something come out of square-enix’s mouth about a remake, it should no longer be talked about. For everyone else, including myself: Let’s keep DREAMING.

You know whats funny, people that are convinced of a FF7 remake, no matter how many times people explain to them that it wont happen. I’m not pointing to any of you, but I thought it could be mentioned here. I’ve come across many of those idiots, and it’s funny to talk to them.

Anyway, back to the topic. It would be cool, yet in another way, it would destroy the classicness of the game. I wouldn’t get it for the fact that it’s "FF7" I would get it because my PS1 version is messed up and I would actually be able to play it. Thats if it came out of course.
