will games ever improve??!

Games have been here for so long and they be here for a whle…improving.
But will games ever improve on jaggies,I mean,look at ALL games from Atari-psp,no game is photo realistic and jaggy free…Japan should do something

Jaggies aren’t important. If jaggies impair your enjoyment of a game, you’re missing the point.

Personally, I’m waiting on a new game that actually has some longevity. =/

if you get upset because your new game has bad graphics thats your problem. I still play Sega games where everything is 2D and I dont complain. Basicly a good game is mostly about storyline and gameplay to me, not wonderful graphics.

I would much prefer a developer to spend time coming up with and implementing original ideas or polished takes on old ones than getting rid of jaggies. =/

in my opinion jaggies will be imposible to get rid of as rounded smooth images only consist of shading and partialy transparent pixels masking the jagged eddges

we can cover them up but they are a physical requirement of digital shapes.

Still has the jaggies clear as daylight. Just because it’s cartoonish doesn’t make it jaggie-proof

Oh, you’re silly! It’s the best game ever made! =)

All that needs to be done to remove ‘jaggies’ is to run the game at a high enough resolution, with enough polygons to trick your eyes into not seeing the ‘edges’.

And that’s not too far off – if you run games like Half-Life 2 on full res (even though you need close to a super computer to do it), you won’t see jagged lines. It’s the same with most of the PlayStation 3 tech demos.

perhaps using opengl or direct3d if you have those options. try using software to run the game and ouch. jaggie hell. but i’d call it pixel hell. (ps, this is for old hl. i don’t know the options for new hl2)
