I am up to the mission where Balmb is invaded by Galbadian Military. I have not completed it yet. i consulted a walktrough to locate Odin and it siad it was on one of the souther islands. Although the walktorugh’s description was vague, i found what i believe to be the centra ruins.
The problem is that when i got to enter it Squall does not enter. When i press Circle(X on default, i set it on FF7’s controls) Squall says "this place is abandoned" (soemthing like that). Do i need to finish the Galbadia mission first or am i at the worng location.

Complete the Balamb story first, you don’t need Odin yet.
I actually get both Odin and Tonberry as soon as Garden is mobile.

No timer.
It doesn’t matter know. I accidently wiped it and started again yesterday. I am up to the timber mission. Actually i didn’t really wipe it, i overwrite it acccidently with a save from a demo disk.The demo save was very weak, it was up to the start of disc 2 with Squall on level 15.

if you want odin appear more freqently keep the left analog stick up and the right down when the battle appears till you hear the monster scream.

I have been pressing down, every 2nd battle odin comes up. He beat Ruby Dragon for me (boss in 5th dream sequence) and is getting me up levels very easily.

Did "Cetra" look like two triangular prisms (one upside-down, the other on top of it)? I was able to get Odin right after you could move Balamb Garden.
