about the worst and best games, mini-games, music etc do you guys agree?
Graphics: agree 100%
FMV: agree mostly
Story: FFVII should’ve been down there instead of VIII, and I thought IV was better than II, otherwise I agree.
Battle System: I wasn’t that amazed by FFX’s system (sphere grid is TERRIBLE)… and I like II’s system a lot. :/
Entertaining: I’d say VI deserves that more than X (because the sphere grid was TERRIBLE and made playing a pain), otherwise I agree
Male Character: Replace Cait Sith and Edward with Cloud and Sephiroth plz
Female Character: Tifa doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near the best one. :/ And how is Celes not up there? Selphie and Aeris and Rikku/x-2 rikku and X-2 Yuna should be in the worst category.. hmm…
Villain: Personally I’d say: Best: Kefka/Kuja/Sin, and Sephiroth definitley deserves worst villain
Summons: sure
Art: sure
sequal thing: sure
Linear: XI was less linear than X-2, as it had no storyline or anything to stray from. Otherwise, I agree.
Boss: sure
Mini-games: I found playing memory or whatever you want to call it in FFII more fun that chocobo hot and cold. But, since there’s nothing else really good enough to replace Chocobo hot and cold, whatever. Otherwise, I agree.
overrated/underrated: agree 100%
Sequels thing: No, no game deserves a sequel. They all wrapped up, and X-2 shouldn’t have happened.
Shouldn’t be a part: agree on XI, and VII and VIII are fine in the main series.
Mostwanted/leastwanted: Sure
Best/worst port/remake: sure
difficulty: VII was way easier than VI.
"Side quest games": I thought CC was horrible, and FFT wasn’t all that bad. Other than that, I mainly agree… they weren’t hard enough on T:A, though.
Best/Worst game: I think VI was more deserving than 1, and XI was worse than 8, otherwise I completley agree.
That’s not something I’d call terrible…
I would have said that FF7 was one of the better Final fantasy (but thats only my opinon). I agreed that X2 is probably the worst game because of its storyline and the way the characters act.
But I have to agree with Mr WrongPants and say that 6 is more deserving than 1 when it comes to the best game.
I disagreee with a few things on that site.
1. Ultros is in no way the worst villain, it’s refreshing to have a comdey villain to lighten the air considering most main villains bring about doom and gloom.
2. FF7 can’t possibly have the worst graphics, they are on par with 8 and 9 i’d say. besides you can’t compare games from 8bit generations all the way to 128bit and pc versions. They shouldnt have even had a best graphics section.
3. FFX is quite a challenge compared to say FF7 which isn’t mentioned there
4. Surely FF8 has one of the weakest musical scores? and why is FF6 in the runners up for worst music?
5. And sin r teh suck.
FMV’s:A toss between FFIX and FFX I think.
Best story: Defo FFVI.
Best battle system:Agree with the site, in fact FFX-2 battle system almost saves it from mediocrity(almost).
Most entertaining:FFVIII or FFX.
Best male character:Auron for sure.
Best female character:Toss between Celes and Dagger.
Worst male character:Quina, no contest
Worst female:Rikku, so irritating.
Best villian:Kefka for sure.
Worst villian:Seifer, so over-rated.
Coolest summon:Bahamut.
Worst summon: Carbuncle.
Toughest Boss:Ozma weapon
Worst:Yu Yevon
Best mini-game: Triple Triad
Worst mini-game: Lightning dodge(wtf was up with that?)
Most over-rated:FFVII or FFX-2
Most under-rated:FFVI or FFIX
Hardest:Nono of them.
Easiest:FFVIII.
Best FF:FFVI.
Worst:FFX-2 or FFVII.
I can’t disagree more with that website.
I can’t disagree more with that website.
Did you read it?
He was comparing them to "at that time."
And no way in hell did FFVII have "the best in the category" when it was released. VII’s graphics were, and still are, worse than VI’s.
FMV’s: FF8 (great action and modeling, and a nice step up from FFVII)
Best story: FFVII (Although confusing at times i found it an enjoyable challenge to tackle)
Best battle system: FFVIII (Although i adored FFVIIs materia i fell in love with the concept of "Drawing" magic from enimies)
Most entertaining: FFVII (First time playing this was my first game that was on a gigantic scale)
Best male character: Vincent Valentine FFVII (A personal favorite of mine)
Best female character: Lulu FFX(Wasn`t like other female characters. Strong and respectable)
Worst male character: Sabin FFVI (I couldn`t stand this guy at all)
Worst female: Rikku
Best villian: Sephiroth FFVII(Seems a little cliche to choose him but his emotional disconnection from the cast made him an enemy that was simply pure evil, and couldn`t in any way be changed)
Worst villian: Ultimacia FFVIII(Unlike other bosses, Ultimacia never was there long enough to built up friction and tension between the main cast)
Coolest summon: Bahamut FFVII
Worst summon: Eden FFVIII
Toughest Boss: Omega weapon FFVIII (I`m just proud i beat him)
Best mini-game: Tetra Master FFIX
Worst mini-game: Lightning Dodger FFX
Most over-rated: FFVII (Purely because the new age fanboys have hyjacked it. Not that i`m saying it`s a bad game but the fanboys ruined it for everyone)
Most Upgraded Sequel: FFVIII (Graphicaly a nice step up from FFVII)
Most under-rated: FFIX
Hardest: FFVI (I found it very difficult :/)
Easiest: FFX
Best FF: A joint win for FFVII/FFVIII/FFIX
Worst: FFX

I agree wiht most of that.Lot better than the website. =)
I dont think Rikku was the worst IMO.She was prob my fav female char.
Not sure what you mean about most over rated one though.FF7 rocks!! =)

What i meant is, FFVII is a great game but in recent years fanboys have ruined it, they made mading saying "FFVII is the best FF" cliche and without credibility. Quite unfortunate i think.
Saying its the best isnt that bad is it?Just an opinion right? If everyone said it was rubbish it wouldnt bother me,Id still like. =)
Definitly but do you see what i mean?
The reason saying "FFVII" is the best is not because of fanboys. Well, yes, it has something to do with that, but more with the fact that it’s really not the best.
It’s statements like "Best villian: Sephiroth FFVII(Seems a little cliche to choose him but his emotional disconnection from the cast made him an enemy that was simply pure evil, and couldn`t in any way be changed)" that don’t help your cause.
I won’t even get into how every character in FFVII was emotionally disconnected, but Kefka, for instance, fits your description. So does Ex-death from FFV.
I fail to see how Sephiroth, with his large amount of angst and devotion to his mother is more evil than Kefka, who actually did obtain his villainous goals.
Well i can`t really speak for FFVI because i never really connected with it. Anyway, what i meant about Sephiroth was that i found him very ominous, it was almost a fear of the unknown because before the last disc, you were pretty unaware of what he can do. But hey, difference of opinion.

Not my opinion.All im sayin.
"What more can be said, the music in this game is beyond excellent for the system it is on."
(in the graphics section it can be understood)
Defintly and there seems to be some conflicting results too with previous results.
Theres no real fair way to do a review like that if your a fan cause your bound to have favourites.some sort of poll might work though.
True.
Fact of the day: That website sucks rocks.
Fact of the day: That website sucks rocks.
Yes it does.
It would be better than what he did but your right. Its always going to be based on popularity.
One would imagine FFI has the "worst" graphics, no?.
lol, i know it`s so trivial 🙂

Where did you copy and paste that? ^^
One would imagine FFI has the "worst" graphics, no?.
read it, he is basing it on the time when they came out. FF7 had pretty shiddy graphics, not much effort was put into it.
I wouldn`t agree. I think for it`s time it had fine graphics. I never had a problem with them and quite frankly, still don`t.
lol
Well, what can i say?, i pretty much liked them. Especially the battle scenes.
But anyway, i`m not saying there perfect, that`s why i voted FFVIII as the best "graphical improvement".
They were supposed to be breath taking for their time.Dont know about that but they were better than 2D.
The point of graphics is to make the game more visually appealing.
FFVI is more visually appealing than FFVII.
They weren’t better than 2D. :/

When your makin a game you can do more with 3D graphics than you can do with 2D.The same limits and summons, magic, etc. wouldnt look half as cool in 2D.
Right. More can be done with 3D than can be done in 2D.
FFVII did not do very well with 3D, and made a less visually appealing game than the preceding 2D FFVI.

I agree with that entirely. Although i would say that the most visually appealing point of FFVII wasn`t the 3d aspect imo, it was the fantastic pre-rendered backgrounds. I don`t want to even imagine FFVII totaly 3d with those graphics.
Yeah true. The PS3 remake Graphics are so much better.I actually laughed at the old ones beside it.
Yeah but why compare them. It`s PS3, it`s obviously going to be better.
Sure there dated but as it stands, combined with the nice pre-rendered backgrounds the FFVII graphics, though dated, work well enough with the background to not be unpleasant to the gamer. Well, the my opinion anyway.

I know just sayin.Still graphics dont make the game better or worse.Still a brilliant game IMO.
