This thread is exactly what the subject says it is.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I have a tendency to ignore the flaws in something that I really like, so I think it’ll be fun trying to think about them.

Mark your spoilers, or I will skoosh you like a bug.

Anyhow, what I didn’t like about Chobits!

I thought they went a little overboard with the filler episodes. I don’t think a filler episode is necessarily bad- sometimes, there’s great interaction with the characters in them, and that was true a lot of the time with Chobits. However, sometimes I really felt like they were dragging down the story, especially as things got a little further along.

I liked the ending of Chobits, and it made me cry, but I thought that the ending in the Chobits manga was a little better.

I thought about making a thread like this last week! Didn’t though. Great minds apparently do think alike. 🙂 I’m not really bad about ignoring flaws in shows I like though. In fact, I’m a lot tougher on things I really get into.

R.O.D the TV kind of annoyed me at the end with the way Mr. Gentleman suddenly turned into this ultimate deus ex machina and near-godlike presence that could be used for anything the writers thought was a neat idea at the time. It just felt contrived, cheap, and way too sudden.

Gungrave was really irritating for me, although I love it to death. The first part of the show, which was all about the main characters rising to the top of a mafia group, was top-notch material, but it should have stopped there or something. The arc with Grave fighting all the undead people was just way too different and completely changed the feel of the show.

woot? dang. has it been that long? i seriously don’t remember mr. gentleman doing that…i gotta see that last espide again it seems. :p

as for gungrave. all i have to say is

EX-FUCKING-XACTLY!

now i don’t know. i seriously, SERIOUSLY, can’t bring myself to critiquing sailor moon or robotech. rather than callin it "ignoring the flaws" i seriously just can’t see or any. (or am incable of seeing them). these are just perfect imo.

i’ll try irresponsible captain tylor. um…..the animation near the end changed and i dind’t like it. :p but then i think it went back. crap, i can’t remember no more.

um…in slayers……er….um……..needs more fanservice! rofl

nah. i can’t critique my truly fav anime’s. i could try something i just like a little bit.

flcl……after one viewing, watching it again is pointless and stupid. you can only let your mind get stupid a certain number of times with random shit. after that, you need NEW random shit to make you laugh. OLD random shit is no good no more.

One thing I don’t like about Samurai X is that it’s almost always talky talky talk and no Action.

By the way Ndi, this is one nice thread. Don Prakleone, if you thout of it, why didn’t you do it, Hmmm? :eye:

The fight scenes in Hellsing were too short, and they tried too hard to make it dramatic with the abnormally long pauses with music playing whenever a key character was killed, for example (I’m not naming said character, but you probably know who I’m talking about, Ndi!).

And some of the dialogue they wrote for "Police Girl" and Integra seemed a bit too contrived or silly for my tastes.

I know all Koreans are very romantic, but that doesn’t mean that all Korean manga has to be the same way, 선녀강림(Faeries’ Landing), my favorite manga was too romantic for me, could have used more action scenes, but then again, it was funny enough for me to enjoy more than just about any other anime or manga.
