ARGH… I just gained 5 levels looking for Death Machine and he still hasn’t appeared

FF1… death machine aka warmech.

Sooo… damn… frustrating. I’ve been running up and down that bridge for like the last hour.

Does he not appear if you’ve already killed tiamat?

…Why do you wanna fight Warmech? If memory serves…doesn’t he only give like, 1 xp?

Make that 12+ levels now and still no death machine…

I just want to fight him so that the entry is unlocked in my beastiary.

Do what I did:
First you keep walking up and down the brisge to Tiamat, run from the weaker enemies, and just hope that you’ll find him. If not, you can always come back later. And if you beat the game you can start over with your beastary intact, so don’t be afraid to beat the game. Also, Warmech/Death Machine gives good exp.(I think)

That’s becuase the t-rex is a common monster, in pretty much any area with dinosaurs, in the First FF.

Yah, I got tired and just moved on and beat the game. I’m missing a few monsters from the Soul of Chaos dungeons and Iron Golem. I figure that since I do have some breaks in my school schedule I’ll just go back and load a file where I haven’t beaten the game and just play through and try to find them. Maybe by the end of the semester I’ll have that done. LOL. Two 45 minute breaks a week * 15 weeks… yah, I can probably get the FF1 beastiary finished by then.

Oh! You’re playing the Dawn of Souls version. Man, I just don’t think I’ll ever play an FF1 with MP. It’s just not the same game after you fuck with the game engine.

The sure as hell better not change the magic system when the convert FFIII for the Nintendo DS.
